IMPORTANT INFORMATION
 Review Times:
 Check Your Address:
  • Confirm your project is in the city limits of Lynnwood with our Lynnwood Boundary Map. Lynnwood’s Development and Business Services Permit Center does not provide permitting services outside of city limits or in unincorporated areas of Lynnwood.
 Online Permit Application:
  • Apply for permits and submit your plans and supporting documents through Lynnwood’s Development and Business Services Permit Portal. Plans and supporting documents need to follow the Electronic Submittal Standards.

  • Effective September 9, 2024, Lynnwood’s Development and Business Services Permit Center will be disabling our previous permitting portal and migrating any active permits over to the new permit portal. If you have any questions or need assistance during this time, please contact the permit center at permits@lynnwoodwa.gov.

 Resubmittals / Revisions:
  • A comment response letter is required for a re-submittal, please view the Comment Response Letter requirements. Re-submittal documents are uploaded via your Permit Portal account.

  • To submit for a revision please apply via Lynnwood's Development and Business Services Permit Portal.

 PERMIT TYPE / APPLICATIONS  SUBMITTAL CHECKLISTS

Land Use & Subdivisions: Permits for property line changes, zoning interpretations, and project design review. Land Use Permits are sometimes required prior to receiving an associated Building or Civil Construction permit. 

Building: Permits for single-family, duplex or townhouse, commercial, multifamily, tenant improvements, solar, mobile/manufactured homes, accessory structure, pool, and sign.

Development Engineering: Any work outside of the building footprint including grading, water, sewer, storm drainage, tree clearing, and work within the Public ROW.
