It’s hard to believe that the Lynnwood Link Extension is opening this Friday! In case you missed it, our friends at the Lynnwood Chamber of Commerce and Snohomish County Transportation Coalition have organized an exciting and fun Evening Celebration from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lynnwood Transit Center to celebrate the opening of our new station!

Lynnwood’s celebration includes live music, a dozen food trucks, cultural performances, a night market of arts and crafts, a community resource fair with 60 public agencies and nonprofits, and many fun activities for kids of all ages.

As you can imagine, it’s going to be a busy evening in and around the City Center Station. While the parking garage will be open, prepare for possible alternate parking options. You can also take transit! Check out Community Transit’s handy Trip Planner to plan your connection from bus to light rail, (make sure to plan your return trip!) or even their Zip Shuttle!

This is one of FOUR celebrations happening across the new stations in Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, and the two Shoreline Stations! Get ready to hop on the Light Rail, take in the sites of the new line, and then get ready to party at the next stop!

We can’t wait to see you on the Light Rail and at the Evening Celebration!
